Provincial Dinner
Our Provincial Grand Superintendent has been organising a Dinner event for Friday 1st May 2026 at the Masonic Hall in Dalkeith.
This dinner will be for men only and is open to Lodge, Chapter and Council Members in addition to friends of Masons who are not in the Craft.
A guest speaker has been invited to entertain our guests on the evening. This year, the guest speaker will be George McNeill who is a Scottish former world professional sprint champion and the only man to have won both of the most famous professional footraces in the world – The New Year Sprint in Scotland (1970) and the Australian equivalent called the Stawell Gift in 1981.
Prior to being a sprinter George McNeill was a professional football player who played for Hibernian, Greenock Morton and Stirling Albion. He is a “Belter”, hailing from Tranent in East Lothian, and the other team that has to be mentioned in his list is of course, Tranent Juniors!
It has been a few years since any event like this has taken place in the Province, and Walter is hoping this will be a great evening and allow Brethren, Companions and friends of Masons to come together and have a good night out.
The tickets for this event will be £25.00 and can be obtained from our Grand Superintendent.
There will be raffle on the night and our Grand Superintendent would like to appeal for members to bring a prize where possible.
