Children’s Charity BBQ – Sunday 18th August 12:00

A regular event on the calendar – The Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter Children’s Charity BBQ.

*** UPDATE ***

Congratulations to ALL involved with the Grand Superintendents Children’s Charity BBQ held this weekend at Dalkeith Lodge No.10.
Having driven through some rain on the way there, the worst was to be expected – however, the rain went away and the sun came out to treat us to a rather nice 18 degrees.
The food was wide and varied with burger rolls, sausages, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, chips and hotdogs. Sweets and juice were given out to all the kids and some adults too.
Thanks to the fantastic donations made for the BBQ, and the great donations for both the children’s and adults raffle, the fantastic sum of £445.00 was raised for the children’s Charity fund.
A round of applause when you’re ready thank you!!!

Children’s Charity – Saltersgate School

Saltersgate is a school in Mid Lothian for children and young people with additional support needs.  The school provides support for children between the ages of 4 to 18.

The school is located in Dalkeith Schools Community Campus.

The Provincial grand Royal Arch Chapter of Mid & East Lothian got in touch to see if there’s anything we could help the school with on a financial basis.

We asked the school to provide us with a wish list of items, with the hope that we could at least help them on their way to achieving their goals.  Some items on the wish list were items like – Large White Board, Sand and Water Tray, Water Wall board for sensory garden, Swimming noodles and equipment to facilitate floor curling.

The total cost of these items was £2000.00.

Due to the funds raised for our Children’s Charity, we are happy to say we have managed to secure funding for all the items on the wish list, and hope to help the school with their purchase in the near future.

We are pleased to inform you that on the 27th March 2024, MEC Andrew S McKeen and Bill Annand represented The Provincial Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Mid & East Lothian in the presentation of a cheque for £2000 to Jane Minelly, Head Teacher of the Saltersgate School in Dalkeith.
